Dorothy De’ame Hirse
Dorothy De’ame Hirse is a Legal Practitioner with over 17 years Post Call experience and a specialty in Legislative Drafting. She holds a Law degree (LLB) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and also has a B.L from The Nigerian Law School (Enugu Campus).
She is a Certified Grief Educator with David Kessler and Grief.com as well as certified in Emotional Entelligence and Anger Management. She is a Life Coach, also a Mental Health First aider (MHFA) trained in Addiction Handling, Social Psychiatry, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) and Motivational Interviewing with (Cerca Africa – SOBCA).
She is the author of the books; WE SAY THEIR NAME and PEBBLES ALONG MY PATH. Dorothy serves as the voice of hope and healing to those going through the trauma of death, loss and grief. Dorothy has also coached budding authors to achieve their dream of publishing their works.
As a Life Re-entry advocate who aims to change the narrative about widowhood and how widows are perceived, Dorothy is also passionate about parenting, particularly Solo Parenting to raise wholesome humans.
Dorothy is a Trainer at Cerca Africa (SOBCA) for its Certification Courses and also an established public speaker/trainer with the Octopus Speakers Pool (OSP). She has also been invited on various platforms and media outlets to speak on Grief Recovery and Support Systems. She loves to mentor and speak with young ladies about life in general.
She lives in Abuja with her 2 children. She loves to crochet, listen to music, create beautiful (mouth-watering) salads too and travel when she is not juggling her various other roles.
Dorothy is an astute Writer, Trainer, Public Speaker and Advocate.
